I am rereading Living with Ghosts. It is such a seductive read. I can just feel myself sinking into the story. Like rich dark chocolate. In terms of a writer observing another writer: it inspired me.
I'm not at all surprised - people will be reading LWG for some time, it's a brilliant read. I say that as somebody who ISN'T normally keen on fantasy with pre-industrial settings, so LWG seduced me.
(To get sense of my odd tastes in fantasy, I DO like Tim Powers, Jon Courtney Grimwood and (recently) China Mieville.)
I really appreciate the offer, but I'd feel terrible. :
I'm going to order the Real Book (what's the opposite of an ebook?) at the end of the month. (It's not that I can't get the book here at all, it's that I am a product of my time and want everything instantaneously. Heh!).
Once again, thank you very much for the kind offer.

*sigh*
I know it's nothing you as the author have any control over, I do wish publishers wouldn't do this.
