Very Important PollTM (Mrs.)

It has come to my attention that LX Con will be my very first convention as a Real Pro with the book out there and all. I am therefore in need, dear f'list, of your collective wisdom. How, in your opinion, should I conduct myself?

[Poll #1376733]

I think you should behave exactly as usual and mention the book to new people as you introduce yourself, but only if asked about it to people whom you already know. If this was a US con I'd advise differently.

However, I have never known you be anything less than gracious. Naturally I consider that I conduct myself with the utmost decorum at all times and thus you should model yourself on me: if you want to be me, I will channel Ian Watson at the next convention, he can channel Tanith, and we can all pass our personalities on in this manner.

Sounds fair: Ian channelled HG Wells a few Novacons back.

Remarkable piece of channelling, too.

He does a mean Inigo Montoya as well.

That is a wonderful image. I await the sight of Ian in flowing garments eagerly!

I can confirm that Living with Ghosts has reached the Big Island of Hawaii - it's in their local Borders.

Most impressive!

Oh, that is cool. I've yet to see it in a bookshop.

Well, now you know where to go. You could pop in tomorrow. (Bit late for today, I suppose, what with Concorde being out of service.)

Of course, life being life, they'll probably have sold their copy by the time you get there. Possibly to [livejournal.com profile] purplecthulhu, assuming he's not gone to an online retailer.
