My World Fantasycon schedule

Tomorrow morning, I shall be setting off to Brighton for World Fantasycon. I'm not as ready as I'd like -- on the plus side, my hair has been cut and coloured -- I have purple streaks!! -- I have baked fairy cakes to take along (almost entirely lactose free [there are 4 with lemon curd in] plus some that are also gulten-free. All lemon flavoured, because, well, this is me.) I've done some packing. But I lost much of yesterday to a migraine and thus am behind. Bah.
Skirts are being selected (of course): green cord mini with deer print; teal and fuchsia flippy; beautiful batik beaded (by request of the marquis). I'm now havering between blue blurred flower print (just about my knee) and silky silver and lilac pint (floor length). These decisions are important :-)

All I'm doing presently is laundry. :)

El V's flying to London from Barcelona -- he's going to have dinner with Our Host and spend the night with him. Gets home tomorrow night, in time to be blocked from getting home by the annual Village Halloween Parade, which steps off from our black, and blocks all traffic, vehicular, pedestrian and mass transit.

It's a wee bit too rich for the likes of me. Besides, I'm supposed to be writing a thesis.

It's eye-wateringly expensive, as usual.
Steeleye played part of the Wintersmith material at the Cambridge Folk Festival this year: just fabulous.

I have been playing the album nonstop since it dropped. I'm looking at either Aylesbury or Bristol as possible "I could get there!" tour stops...

But yeah, WFC's too expensive for me to go to with everything else that's happening, and, well. The tone of the press releases are making me feel pretty good about that.
