This is the blue flouncey skirt, which is probably my very favourite of all my skirts. I've had it over a decade, I think, and it is getting rather worn and old, but I love the tiers and the way it swishes about my ankles as I walk (it's longer that it looks in the picture), and the way it hangs on me. I bought it from a small shop in Camden and I live in hope of one day meeting its twin, whom I can also take home with me and treasure. You can just see the bottom of the red crinkle skirt at the base -- it was cold yesterday. Mooncat is wriggling on my lap: she was beautifully settled until the camera came out, whereupon she at once wanted to get up and see what the marquis was doing.

There is something about a favourite skirt. I have one, just a plain brown A-line that goes just below my knees. It's about 10 years old now, my mum made it for me when I was first at uni. I LOVE that skirt, it sits perfectly, matches with everything, it is irreplaceable! (I have mended it on numerous occasions).

There is something even better about a cat sitting on your favourite skirt.
