2011 US conventions

I can't go to World Con this year (boo) due to a clash of dates. I shall be going to British Eastercon, of course, and I hope to go to Eurocon in Stockholm. Other than that, though... I'm in two minds about World Fantasy -- Parke Godwin is a big lure (I love his books with a passion) and, it being in San Diego, I'd get to see zaan (which would be wonderful). But on the other hand, it's not the best time of year for me, it is a long way, and I'm not sure I want to do three WFC in a row.
And then there's finances, of course. The car bill has rather eaten into my savings, and I can't guarantee any big windfalls this year. Plus the marquis has only so much annual leave.
So, what do you lot think? What if any con would you recommend (bear in mind that DragonCon and ComicCon are far too big for me)? I'm tempted by Sirens or maybe Readercon, or should it be WFC anyway?

I would love you to meet the wonderful people we have met at Wiscons - however that would need finances and delicately-wrought protective armour to allow the potentially scary bits to not happen.

We are tempted by SweCon, but on the other hand, we also want to get new kittens, and if we don't go, we can make nearly a six month period without being away from them.

Readercon sounds like an excellent idea. Boskone is a bit soon, and whilst I'd normally recommend Libertycon down here in July, it may be a bit too much relaxacon for your purposes.

The only potential issue with Readercon is the date, as it's right in the middle of one of our busiest times of year.

WFC is a wonderful con, and San Diego is a fantastic city with delicious weather and a great zoo. :-) Plus that's my birthday weekend. Come to WFC!

In the US, I've been to Dragon Con twice. Yes, it is seriously big with lots of people. But run by fans for fans and amazingly good fun. Prefer it over SDCC by miles.
