Smug (moderate)

My kitchen, it shines with a mighty glow. They can probably see it from the space station. I have Nice Clean Kitchen. And the ironing pile is conquered. No writing done, alas, because I am disorganised otherwise, but I have cleanth.
The marquis, of course, will come home and use the kitchen. He has the strangest ideas about what kitchens are for sometimes...1

Skirt of the day: long silky purple, with red crinkle doing petticoat duty. It's cold out there.

1 They are for keeping in bright shiny order, of course. Not for anything messy, like that cooking business.

Yay for cleanliness!
I vote for throwing the Marquis out of the kitchen, but he might get a little annoyed :)

...And then the Marquise would get a little hungry. Both of these would be bad.

(You're not another of these people who cherish cleanliness above foodliness, surely? Not living in Paris and all, don't tell me that...)

Ha, no--if you're ever in Paris, drop by our place. I'll cook you delicious food, but you'll be able to see that my cleanliness sucks (the H is our official cleaner. I'm mostly the harbinger of entropy and chaos).

You relieve my mind. Also, we have mild hopes of being in Paris next year...

Totally drop me a mail if you're there. We'd very happy to meet up :)

Yay for clean kitchen! I also have a clean-ish kitchen which other people cleaned! Our spare lodgers made shortbread and cleaned up after as E (22, female) is trying to train her boyfriend J (22, male), with a rolled-up newspaper.

*snerk*

Kari's kitchen is a model of cleanliness compare to ours, which does need a refurb after the boiler was moved.

That's a very effective training method, along with the flicked t-towel.

Yay!

I have not done any ironing for weeks. I am therefore envious.

I much prefer foodliness to cleanliness. Fortunately H. is always willing to do the cleaning after a good meal, in order to keep the good meals coming.

Ironing! Yes, I could do ironing...you are such a good example.

My place is in the stage of packing where everything is out so that I can see what I should pack myself and what should be left to the professionals. The level of chaos is therefore so high that I am forgoing my annual Christmas tea party this year. I will just make some Christmas cake and send it round.
