New community.

fjm and I have set up a new lj writing community, aimed at keeping each other on target with our current writing projects. It's similar to novel_in_90, but is open also to non-fiction, poetry and short stories. The goal is to set and achieve writing targets, be it N words a day/week, finishing a short or a poem, keeping a project going, you name it. It's open to anyone who would like to join and be nagged/encouraged and congratulated. (stevegreen, I'm looking at you.)

I have asked to join, with some trepidation. I don't have a wordcount to aim for, but I need to get on with this wretched book, so...my goal will have to be an hour a day of writing (or at least working on the damn thing) on at least 5 days a week.

You can do whichever you prefer. A number of us like to post a word count plus a short extract from the day's writing, but it's really up to you.
