You have a fan base in Australia. But in the days of your early books (which I devoured) there was no way of communicating that to you. And so much of your writing never was available to us here that we didn't know it existed, because it wasn't talked about in the places we had access to. I discovered a whole bunch when I was in Toronto and had access to their public library system and I was shocked to see what was missing from my reading. Not just your writing, but the writing of so many women. No-one tried to sell internationally, maybe, because they didn't know there were readers out here. And yet we've always been a strong market for spec fic.
We need channels of communication that work for established female authors who are now going unseen. We so do.
