There are a lot there I remember fondly too, though I never related to George -- I'm an Anne. I came to Poe late, sadly -- my first Gothic was Sheridan LeFanu, Carmilla, which would make my list, come to thing of it. And I love Bujold. Oh, and Lisanne Norman. Have you read her? :-)
